Maisie

Maisie has played a significant role in the establishment of Sky River Meadows therapy programs. She is known as “Therapy Goat #1” and is the main reason why these programs exist today. Maisie played a crucial role in making Angee believe in the power of connection and non-verbal communication. During the initial year of her life, Maisie often accompanied Angee to Nipissing University, where she played and jumped through the halls. Maisie was the first goat to be trained to assist Angee while volunteering throughout the Muskoka community, bringing awareness to the work. Maisie visited many retirement homes, hospices, schools, private homes, businesses, and other places until her retirement in 2020. Although she still occasionally insists on going for a road trip, Maisie is now enjoying her much-deserved retirement.
